African Urology Journal accepted into Scopus

AUJ accepted into Scopus

Dear Colleagues,

We are proud to announce that the African Urology, a journal published by Medpharm Publications as the official journal of the SAUA, has recently been accepted for indexing in Scopus, one of the world’s leading abstract and citation databases. This milestone reflects the journal’s commitment to scholarly excellence, rigorous peer review, and international visibility.

Articles published in this journal will now enjoy enhanced global discoverability and recognition. Importantly, publication in a Scopus‑indexed journal also qualifies for DHET subsidy funding. Each accredited article earns a subsidy unit valued at approximately R120,000–R130,000, paid directly to the author’s South African university.

This funding strengthens institutional research capacity and supports future scholarly work. We extend our gratitude to our editorial team (led by Prof John Lazarus), reviewers, and contributors whose dedication made this achievement possible.

We invite you to continue submitting high‑quality research and to share this exciting news with your colleagues and networks.

AUJ editorial team.
