About
Dr Suhani Maharajh is a full time specialist urologist in private sector in Durban South Africa. Matriculated in Top Ten of the Durban North region in 1998. Graduated with MBCHB summa cum laude as the top final year student in the class of 2004 after obtaining the deans commendation during every undergraduate year and a member of the Golden Key Honorary Society since 2000. Graduated from the Colleges of Medicine as specialist urologist in 2011. Awarded the Lionel B Goldschmidt Award at qualification as a urologist. Completed diploma in laparoscopy at World Laparascopic Hospital in 2013.
Completed Masters of Medicine Urology from Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine. My special areas of interest are Male urology, all cancers and diseases of prostate, bladder and testes, penis, kidney, ureters, bladder dysfunction, prostate disease, endourology, erectile dysfunction, calculus disease.
I worked in the public sector from 2005 until 2015 and then left the academic sector after having published in local and international publications as well as presenting at local and international forums, to start a full time incorporated private practice while providing after hours sessions, support and teaching in the public sector.
I have served as a finals examiner in the 2019 CMSA exams and continue to provide teaching for finals candidates for the college examinations. My passion lies in building a memorable footprint in the urology community and the lives of my patients ensuring that I always provide best level of care in all arenas of my career.
